December 19-23, 2011

On Monday I finished and turned in the green requisitions that needed to be done. Bianca and I have been working on the AUV wiring along with the help of my sister. So far we have not done much of the wiring. On Thursday we started working on the USB cables that will connect from the motors to our computer. On Friday we met up in our robotics working area at 8:00am since there was no school. Bianca, Isela and I worked on trying to finish the USB's but at the end we didn't get two USB cables to work so Ledge will be buying the two cables that are need. Around 1:00pm the officers and the heads of the team came together to discuss what we will change and keep on the team requirements for next semester. When we where done with the meeting Diserae, Maria, Isela, and David started on building a gingerbread house that was later destroyed by Dalton smashing his face into it. Bianca, Diserae, Daisy and I had a gift exchange. Bianca had the funniest expression on her face when she opened one if her presents and saw that her present was wrapped with gay bacon. Daisy's expression was priceless when she opened her present and actually believed that Bianca and I had given her a fish bowl with dead fish within the bowl. Diserae was freaking out when she saw that she got Jack Skellington sun glasses. We left school around 3:00pm and I will be hopefully checking journals when i get home.

December 12-16, 2011

All this week I have been working on paperwork. On Tuesday Immedia EDU came to the school to see what our team is about. On Wednesday Ledge had to attend a meeting so Whitley stayed for the remaining of the time. L.E.G.I.T. has been working on the motors and website. I will be checking journal tomorrow right after school.

December 5-9, 2011

This week has been a really busy week. Everyone was getting ready for the science fair. We started to set-up on Tuesday, after school. On Wednesday everyone in robotics that did not submit a science fair project helped secure the hallways. The judges really seemed to enjoy scoring the boards and talking to the students. Especially many liked that they got to eat all the pizza they wanted for judging. On Friday we will be going to set-up for state at ASU. I will be checking journals tomorrow as well.

November 28 - December 2, 2011

All this week we have been busy getting ready for the LEGO Regional going on this Saturday. Staphany has been making copies that needed to be done. I have been organizing the folders that will be handed out to the teams. Everything has been really hectic around robotics. When Friday came everyone was running around making and hanging up posters, putting up tables for the pits, taking the LEGO tables and kits to the auditorium  and getting anything else that needed to be done done. I changed the date to check journals to Monday.

November 21 - November 25, 2011

All this week we have been busy getting ready for the LEGO Regional going on this Saturday. I filled out all paperwork that needed to be done. Diserae got the drivers that we needed for FLL State. We started to print out papers for FLL Regional. We have not stayed for much.

November 14-18, 2011

So this week basically we have not stayed as long after school. Ledge, Bianca and I have been working on figuring out why the camera lens does not work. We called the company and it seems that they are confused as well. So far they have made us take off wires and wire back. At first the company mentioned that we have been looking at the wrong diagram but at the end we where correct. I will be checking journals tomorrow.

November 7-11, 2011

This week I have been filling out the paperwork for the FLL Yuma Regional. There would be 14 people from our team attending and helping out in the regional. We will be leaving at 3:30am which is really early. Might as well stay at school and sleep over. We will not be staying much next week because Ledge has other important engagements to attend.

October 31- November 3, 2011

This week I have been doing paperwork. We didn't not stay to long because Ledge had class. I went home and did homework. Tomorrow Friday John is thinking of impeaching Diserae. Also I would be checking journals tomorrow.

October 24-28, 2011

Monday I worked on paperwork that had to be done. Tuesday I turned in all paperwork that needed to be turned in. Wednesday I organized the filing cabinet because it was getting kind of messy. Today Thursday I worked on getting the blue requisition done for the Subconn connectors. Tomorrow Friday, we will be participating in the parade during school and after school we would be using the T-Shirt launcher that Meraz and Martin are supposed to have finished during the halftime homecoming football game.

All this week i have been busy doing paperwork for the team and helping the freshman wire the robot. So far the Freshmen have not gone real far with the wiring. On Thursday Ledge six people people and I went to Barcelona for their high school night. The event went pretty well compared to the other high school nights. Today Friday i would be checking journal and try to finish what I can for the robot. Oh yeah and Bianca's baby brother was born on Monday.

This week we have not done a lot in robotics. We only stayed Monday to Wednesday. I did paperwork most of the rime and fixed my charger. We went to the Bots High Screening on Thursday. Today we will be going to Osborn Middle School for their school conference. Right now I am on the process of checking journals.

September 23- 29, 2011

All this week I have bee working on paperwork. Ledge has been leaving early going to conferences. I have turned in all the paperwork that needs to be turned in. I still need to turn in the facilities requisition for the HAM  radio class during fall break. I will be checking journals right after this.

September 16-22, 2011

The retreat went pretty well this week-end. Every body got along pretty well. Ledge talked about our team history and the importance of being in the team. As an activity we played caterpillar, which involved the team working together to move from one end to the other by picking each others weight with our feet.  More than half of the time most of the students participated in capture the flag. Mr. Haverkamp and Mr. Jones played the first game of capture the flag. At night we looked at the stars(there was a lot of stars). A lot of the students played chubby bunny. By the way Preston beat Elizabeth's record of 23 by 2. In the morning the girls and I got stuck making breakfast for everyone else while the boys went to hike a mountain near us. When we finished eating breakfast most of the students went to go play capture the flag before we packed up and left. I believe it was a pretty great experience although if we had more time it would be better for more team building. Monday we did not stay after school because Ledge had to attend a meeting. Although the programming workshop was still held at four. Tuesday Bianca and I worked on connecting the buss on the AUVSI robot. After that we looked at how the fiber optic tether. It was pretty awesome in my point of view. On Wednesday Bianca and I worked on updating the requirement list. We saw the torpedo being launched. Every one got excited when it got launched and the freshmen laughed when the torpedo was shot straight and didn't curve. Today Thursday, Bianca added the journals, public events and attendance spreadsheet to the requirement's list.I worked on any paper that had or could be done. I will be checking journals right after this.

September 12-14, 2011

All this week I have been doing paperwork for the AUVSI robot. Bianca and I hosted the electrical workshop. I created the test the students are going to take Thursday. Some of the students got to learn how to solder on Wednesday. The team has been preparing for the retreat coming up this Saturday.

September 5-8, 2011

This Monday there was no school because it was Labor Day. So that means there was no robotics also at all. Tuesday we didn't do much after school. I worked on organizing our filing cabinet that holds all of our paperwork. Wednesday I collected and turned in all the permission slips for the school presentation and the FLL Kick-Off. Right after that I had to start right away on the blue requisitions. So today, Thursday I turned in the blue requisitions  and checked journal entries.

August 29 to September 1, 2011

So all this week I have been working on paperwork and fixing the paperwork. So we moved the Science Fair to December 6 through 8. It is ONE day before the FLL State Tournament. We have all our male mentors for the retreat and we are still looking for the female mentor. I have to started on the Science Fair paperwork and is in the process of being done.

August 22-25, 2011

This week we have been fixing the paperwork for the retreat. We turned in the paperwork for the auditorium when Dean Kamen comes to school. I did not stay on Wednesday because I went to go get my braces. On Thursday we did not stay for robotics because Ledge went to Microchip masters. The retreat has been changed because there was not enough vans.

August 15-18, 2011

All last week I constantly worked on making emails for the new freshmen. So far this week I have been working on paperwork most of time. Such as the upcoming team trips, and buying electrical components for the new robotics season. Diserae and I have been running around checking that all the paperwork is being processed. I have also been working on making spreadsheets so we can keep track of what the team is doing. This will help the team keep more organized. The officers have been meeting constantly making sure that we know what is going on. So far this week I have been doing secretary work and I hope to be helping with AUVSI as soon as I have time.

I have not blogged for two weeks. We have been really busy most of the time. I turned in all AUVSI paperwork last week. We have been working on the AUV robot. Yesterday we started to charge the lithium polymer batteries that we will be using for AUV robot.

Today during lunch Bianca and I extended the PWM on the arm. After school Ledge started to figure out how to run the computer hard drive for AUVSI. We have been doing paperwork for next week. We will be going to a school board meeting next week on Thursday.

I have not blogged or checked the blogs for a week. We have been modifying the practice bot all this week. I was not able to attend robotics yesterday because I had a dentist and doctors appointment. Today I took my drivers permit test and failed by one question. I am really excited that AZ regionals is only one day away.

Today we switched the spike with a victor. We also wired the battery voltage measurer. At five we had our drivers of the team try out. Hugo drove the robot around the field in 8.8 seconds.

Today we found out that the wireless bridge was wired incorrectly because it started to smell like smoke. I am really disappointed because we have to order a new wireless board that is $135. I started, finished, and turned in the paperwork for the wireless board.

Today we wired the anderson connectors with the batteries. We finished mounting everything we needed to mount so far in the robot. I taught Daisy how to silver eight gauge wire with a torch. I have not signed in after school for the longest time so I finally signed in today because I finally had time.

We came to robotics on Saturday. The first thing Bianca and I did was fix the victors. We started and finished mounting all the other components going on the robot.We started wiring the motors and the fans to the power distribution board. We also wired the motors with the motor speed controllers. Frank from team 39 showed up with their prototype pole climber. The prototype is able to climb the pole in 3.5 seconds. That is a pretty cool being able to climb that distance in 3.5 seconds. Today we finished wiring the motors to the power distribution board. Diserae, Daisy and I started on the AUV schematics.

Today was a really busy day. We had to redo many blue reqs. because the school board wants every student now to sign the paper personally. Diserae and I copied all the senators emails so we can send them emails. We finished the final touches for the schematics. The schematics look really good in my opinion. We will start mounting the components in the robot.

I have not blogged for a long time. I believe the game for this year is not that exciting. The only thing I found amusing about it was the mini bot. We have been busy doing paper work all these past week. We will be going to Flagstaff this week to go help the Coconuts with FTC. That is pretty much it.
